Hello to the best family ever!!!! I am glad everyone is doing well. I don't know when you guys will read this because half of you are in Nauvoo right now but i just want you guys to know how much i love this gospel. It truly does bless familes. You guys are such an example to me and i hope that everyone realizes how much of a blessing the gospel is.
Well this week was a pretty good week. The baptism went through as planned and it was a great service. Wow the spirit was so strong there. Both companionships baptized and it was so great to see how happy everyone was. With Jenny, her husband baptized her. It was so great. He was so excited to baptize his wife. It was funny because in the very first lesson we taught her he just like totally rebuked her and told her that he wants a temple marriage and nothing else. But it was such a good day. I love seeing people change their lives and how much happiness the gospel brings. It is amazing.
Well this week was Zone Conference as well. Wow!!!! President Moffat is so good. I can't imagine having a better mission president. He is so good at teaching us and you can really tell how much he loves doing what he does. The zone conference was on Chapter 2 of Preach My Gospel which is on Effective Study. It was so good. How zone conference works is at the first of it President Moffat usually talks about what he thinks the mission needs help with. He gives us things that we need to be more obedient on and that is the time when he really cracks down on things. Then he lets us know our numbers as a mission and how we are doing. Then usually the Assistants take over for a while and talk about the Action Points. Those are three things they give us to help us become more effective missionaries. They really do help us so much if we really work on them. It's amazing. Then usually after that we break up into our zones, because we have 3 zones that meet all at once, and the zone leaders talk about how we can apply the topic of zone conference in our everyday missionary work. After that we have lunch and then after lunch we usually have two talks that are given and they just randomly call on people so you have to be ready but then after that President Moffat gives a talk. It is amazing how he does it. He totally just broke down 3rd Nephi 11 and talked about how our duty as missionaries is to baptize and how the first thing Jesus Christ talked about when he visited the America's is teach about baptism. It was so good. I love zone conference. I always look forward to it. I love President Moffat so much. I am sad that i only get to have him for another year. He is going to be an apostle one day.
We are hoping to pick up three new baptismal dates this week. It should be a good week. I love this work.
I love you guys so much. I hope everything went well in Nauvoo and that you guys felt the spirit. This gospel blesses lives and our job is to help people realize that. I love this gospel with all my heart. There is nothing that i would rather be doing than being a missionary. It is going by too fast. I love it though and i love you guys. Letter - June 17, 2008
Hello there!!!! I am glad everyone is doing well. I can't believe i missed the U.S. Open!! I was getting excited just reading about it. I almost jumped out of my chair at the library. Tiger is so good. All he was doin was playin around with rocco. He knew all along he was going to win he just wanted to make it interesting. But we aren't golfing this week which makes me kinda sad but hopefully we will soon.
This saturday we have Jenny's baptism. I am so excited. She is so great and it has been so fun teaching her. She knows the church is true and she will be such a good member of the church. She has no idea what she is getting herself into and the blessings that she will enjoy because of it but once she does realize it, o man is it gonna be good. I am so excited for her. She is into tennis and golf and she goes to Wimbeldon every year and so we talk about that alot and so it has been so much fun teaching her. I can't wait for saturday and all the blessings she will get for becoming a member of this church.
Myra dropped us this week. We went to her house and we talked to her and she said it just wasn't for her. She read the book of mormon and prayed about it but she felt like she didn't get an answer. Me and Elder Brower tried to explain it to her and get her to try and feel the spirit and recognize it but we just couldn't get through to her. It was a little disappointing because she was really interested and i think her family just had to much power over her.
Earlier this week i had the chance to go on exchanges with the Zone Leaders. It was so great to go with them and learn from them. I learned so much from them and i had a great time. I went with Elder Christie. He is from scotland and he is an awesome missionary. I learned so many things and i picked up on some things that he did in teaching situations and i am trying to apply them into my efforts as a missionary. It was funny, when i was with him we went and knocked on this door. This black guy opened it and started yelling at us and telling us that we were a cult and he was asking what the latter day saints part of the title of our church was all about. He was a born again christian and we tried to explain those things to him and tried to talk to him but he was too busy yelling at us so we just kinda sat there and Elder Christie said a few things that made him more upset and then we just left. It was crazy. People are so blind sometimes. They don't realize how much of a blessing the church is in their life and they don't realize what it brings into your life as well as your family. But other than that this week wasn't really that exciting. We are working hard and trying to find people who need the gospel in their life. This work is the best work anyone could ever do. I wouldn't change it for the world. I love the blessing of missionary work. Most people think that being a missionary means you get a call letter signed by the prophet telling you to go somewhere in the world for two years. WRONG. Missionary work is a lifelong commitment. As long as we are on this earth we are missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have gained such a strong testimony of that while i have been out here. Do everything you can to help the missionaries back home. You guys do a great job and so keep it up. I love you guys.

Elder Grover is driving all of us nuts. He is out of control and he is so annoying sometimes. All he does is walk around and follow us and he follows me most of the time. He honestly never shuts up. It really is testing our patience. He can't stand still and he can't go a sentence without saying the word fetch at least 2 or 3 times. It's pretty similar to the best two years. Except worse. But we are all trying to get along with him and even though he is annoying we still have fun and we still laugh about alot of things.
I love all you guys so much. This church is so true. I know it without a doubt in my mind. Everything just makes sense to me and i love sharing it with people. There are so many blessings that come from being a missionary that i can't even see and i love serving the Lord. The gospel truly does bless lives and there is no greater joy then seeing people change their lives and turn their lives more towards Jesus Christ. I love this gospel with all my heart. I can't wait for Nate Morgan to get here. He will have such a blast and he will love President Moffat. Tell him i love him and i will be waiting for him. The gospel of Jesus Christ really is the only true gospel on the earth today. I love it so much and i love all of you guys so much. I really do. You guys truly are the best.

Letter - June 10, 2008
Hello Family!!! Thanks for all the emails this week. They were great. I love hearing from everyone. You guys really are the best family in the world. I have grown to have such a greater appreciation for family since i have been out here. You really don't realize how much your family really does mean to you until you are really away from them for a long time.
Well today has been great so far. We went golfing this morning. 9 holes!! It was so great. It reminded me of back home. I shot a 43 so i was pretty happy about it. I had to use the rented clubs from the pro shop so they were hard to get used to. But i still loved it. I don't know if i ever told you but we are in a 4 man flat so all of us went golfing. I shot a 43, Elder Brower shot a 48, Elder Svendsen (from Norway) shot a 55, and Elder Grover (from Washington) shot a 69. It was pretty fun and Elder Grover said i was too serious during golf. I laughed and said that i was nowhere close to as serious as i am when i am home. It was pretty funny. But yeah we had Elder Quenzer in our flat but he finished his mission last week so he went home. He is from Idaho and he is a great guy. I really miss him. But we now have Elder Grover and he is a pain in the butt. He doesn't do his dishes, he doesn't clean up after himself at all, and he just doesn't seem to care. It is pretty frustrating. (Sorry mom you probably felt like that when i was home). But i think i am always stuck doing the dishes because he puts them in the sink and doesn't wash them and then they just keep piling up. But o well enough about that.
Well this week we have been doing alot of tracting. It has been pretty good weather and hasn't rained for a few days. I don't think it has rained for almost a week now. It is great. But we are still also teaching Jenny. The members wife. She is amazing. She has no concerns at all and i love teaching her. She knows the church is true and i dont think she can wait any longer to be baptized. I am so excited for her. She will be so much happier when she is baptized on the 21st. That is in a week and a half! Our last baptism seemed like it was yesterday. Time flies out here. The weeks seem like days. It is incredible. But other than Jenny we started teaching this lady named Myra. We tracted into her and she is pretty good. We taught her the plan of salvation yesterday and it was a really good lesson. You could feel the spirit and she was really interested in all of it. She told us that we really opened up her mind on things and that she is interested in learning more. Hopefully she will continue and she will be baptized.
One side note. We went to a members house this week for dinner and they are from the states and they cooked us steaks. Man were they good. They were so good and they were huge. I loved it. I was in heaven. But yes mom i am still eating a lot of peanut butter. My diet is pretty much peanut butter sandwiches, noodles, cereal with yogurt, and then macaroni and cheese that the american family gave me. That really is about all i eat.
But you asked about Elder Brower. He is a great companion. I love him so much and i know that we will be friends for our whole lives. I learn so much from him and he is just a great friend. We are both learning the mission together because he hasnt been out that long. He was just made a district leader so i am learning not only about the mission but also about being a leader as well. It is a great experience and i love him alot. But we are working hard. People think we are twins or brothers. Sometimes we tell them we are and we also tell them we are from canada when they say i don't want to listen to you ''bloody'' americans. Its pretty funny. We have a lot of fun together.
Well everything is good here in england. I love the mission and i love serving the lord. The gospel brings so much happiness into our lives and i love sharing it with people. I am continuing to work hard. I love serving the lord. There really is no greater work. It goes by so fast. I love you so much and i pray for you every day. Go celtics. Letter - June 4, 2008
Hello Family!!! I am glad everyone is doing well. This week was transfers so p-day is today which is wednesday. So dont think i forgot to email you. But the weather is horrible. I cannot believe that one country can rain so much. I think it is the Lord cursing the English because they are so hard hearted and everyone is depressed and they don't care about their lives. haha. But it really does rain every day. Yesterday was terrible. It started raining on monday night at about 8:30 and it didn't stop until last night at about 10:30. And i am not talking about a little rain. Like a little drizzle. I am talking a full on storm. Pouring rain!! Absolutely pouring!! I don't think i have ever seen so much rain in my entire life. It is incredible.
Well as for this week in the mission. Last week on p-day it was great. We went to the golf course that is by our flat, that we just found out about, and we just went on the driving range. It was awesome. I was so happy to actually golf again. They only gave us a 6 iron though so it was kind of dumb but i was hitting the ball so well. It felt like i haven't lost it yet so i was so happy about that. Hopefully one of these next p-days we will get out and be able to play 9 holes. I would be in heaven if we did.
Also i can't remember if i told you but we are teaching one of the members wives. We had been teaching her with him in the room but last week we taught her just by herself and she opened up so much and just talked with us. She read the book of mormon and prayed about it and got an answer. It was an amazing lesson and the spirit was really strong. We commited her to baptism and she is getting baptized on the 21 of june. I am really excited about it. She was scared to come to church on sunday because it was fast and testimony meeting and she thought that everyone had to get up and bear their testimony. We explained that it was 100 percent voluntary and that made her more comfortable. She came and then during the meeting we were just sitting there and all of the sudden she got up. She went up and bore her testimony and thanked us for teaching her. It was amazing. I was so happy. We have found a couple more people to teach but they are not really set in stone. We have to work hard to keep getting people to teach. We tract alot everyday. On monday we tracted for 6 hours and it was a really long day. The people open up their doors and before we even have a chance to share a message with them the door is closed again so it is really hard but we keep going and trying to find people. Thats about all we have done this week.
But i am glad to hear that everyone is doing well. Missionary work is the hardest thing i have ever done but it is the most rewarding thing anyone could ever do. I love it. I want all you guys as a family to study the book of mormon and to study preach my gospel. Study it and learn from it both individually and as a family. It really will bless your life. I love each and everyone of you so much and i love hearing from you. Keep living the gospel. Pray every day and study the scriptures every day. Write down things you learn. That is the most helpful thing in your study. You will be amazed at what you learn. I love this gospel and i love being a missionary. Be safe. I love all you guys and please keep me updated on everything that you do. I love you!!!

Letter - May 27, 2008
Hello Family!!! I am glad to hear that everyone is doing well at home. As far as this week goes we had interviews and mine was great. I love President Moffat. He is so good at teaching the gospel and making it so you can understand it and learn from it. It is amazing. Our interview was a great interview and we just talked and discussed things about the mission. Pretty much the only question he asked me was am i worthy to be a missionary. He is such a powerful man and i love him so much.
The baptism that we had scheduled for saturday went through as planned and it was a great baptism. Mom you will love this part and you will be so proud of me. I played the piano at the baptism. We couldn't find anyone else who could play so i just played. It was great. But the baptism was very different from a baptism back home. Almost everyone that showed up, showed up in levi's and a t-shirt. It was really wierd and then it was so loud because people here don't know how to control their kids and they let them do whatever they want. It was kind of annoying but at least the ward showed up to support Tracy. She finally was baptized after 3 tries and it was so wonderful to see her being baptized and seeing her spirit totally change. We confirmed her on sunday but it was a close call. She sent us a text at like 11:30 on saturday night telling us she wasn't sure if she was going to make it to church. We didn't get it until we woke up and so we decided that we had to ride up there to her house and make sure she came. It was absolutely pouring rain. I was soaked and it was cold. We got to her house and she wasn't very happy with us but we said we had rode our bikes 20 minutes in the pouring rain to make sure she came to church because we know how important this is for her. She ended up coming to church and she told us afterward that she was happy that she came. It was a great feeling.
We are also starting to teach one of the members wife and she seems like she is interested and i know that she will get baptized. We think she knows the church is true we are just trying to get her to admit it. We will get her though. Other than that we haven't really taught anyone else. The porteguese people that i told you about last week started working again and work all day every day so we are trying to get a hold of them so we can teach them again but other than that we are still trying to find people to teach. It has been pouring rain the last 2 days. I have never seen so much rain in my life. It's ridiculous. It's so hard riding a bike in pouring rain when its cold and the wind blowing at like 30 miles an hour. Its crazy. But we have to do it and i know the Lord will bless us for it.
No we didn't go back to the cat lady. I am glad we didn't do that. I would have thrown up if we did. It was disgusting. Thanks for updating me on everything. I really love getting your emails and hearing about everything. Keep letting me know how things are going back home. I love being a missionary and i have learned so much already. I cant believe i have already been gone almost 2 months. I goes by fast. I hope everyone is doing well though and that your all doing the right things. I pray for all of you every day. Letter - May 20, 2008
Hello everyone!!!! It sounds like everyone is doing well. It was good to hear from everyone.
First off i want to apologize for not getting an email from me last week. We had a mission football (soccer) tournament on tuesday and we had to leave early and didnt get back until about 6 and so we didnt have time to email. But it was so good to hear from everyone on Mothers day. I loved talking to you and hearing all of your voices.
This week has been pretty good. We have found a couple more people to teach and on thursday we taught this lady named Maria. She is from Portugal and she is catholic. She is a very nice lady and we taught her just more about the Restoration. We were teaching and we had a member and his wife there. (We were mad his wife came because she is crazy and its kind of overwhelming to the investigator) But the beginning of the lesson was a little chaotic. The spirit was not there for some reason. Then all of the sudden me and Elder Brower both got the impression to bear our testimony of the Book of Mormon. We did that and we read the last two paragraphs of the Introduction. While i was reading the last paragraph i felt the spirit come just like a brick wall. It was amazing. I finished reading and we looked up and Maria was crying. She said that she felt sad but it wasnt a sad sad. It was more like a something is missing sad. We explained to her that the spirit had testified to her that what we were saying is true and that it is the feeling that god gives us. It was an awesome lesson and i really do hope she follows her feelings and wants to become baptized. I have never felt the spirit quite like that and it was a great feeling. We have a baptism scheduled for saturday and so far it is looking like it will happen. It will be a great day for her when she gets baptized and makes those covenants with the Lord.
Mom this one is for you. Yesterday me and Elder Brower were tracting and we tracted into this lady. She opens the door and she is very overweight. Her shirt doesnt fit over her stoamch and she walks out and she is absolutely covered in hair. She also had a beard and i almost threw up right there. We were talking to her and this cat kept trying to run out of the house but we kept it in. We asked her how many cats she had and she said she had 82 cats. Yes 82 cats. It was terrible. You could look in the door and see the house was just covered with cats. It was so sick. I really felt like i had to take a shower after and i almost threw up.
But that was about all that happened this week. Tomorrow we have interviews with President Moffat and so that should be very good.
I was disappointed to hear about the Jazz. I hate the Lakers. But either way the Spurs will beat the Lakers. Keep me updated on all sports. Thank you.

Letter - May 6, 2008
Hello everyone!!! It was great to hear from everyone this week. Thank you again for your emails. It makes my week so much better when i hear from you guys. I love every single one of you so much. I got one of the packages this week and i loved it. The reese's are almost gone but they have been delicious as well as the starburst. Thank you mom. Also i hope you had a good birthday. I thought about you all day on Saturday. I love you mom.
So i was glad to hear you got my letter. I am suprised it got there so fast. I hope you liked the pictures. They were mostly all from the MTC.
As for the work this week. It went pretty well. ALOT of tracting and finding. We found this Black guy from Kenya and he seems like he wants to know more and he has a lot of questions. We also found this one lady named Janice. We just tracted into her and we stopped by yesterday to follow up on her reading of the plan of salvation pamphlet and she really enjoyed it. She invited us in and we taught her about the Restoration and left her with the Book of Mormon to read. It was a great lesson and when we asked if we could leave the Book of Mormon with her she said o please yes. She is very excited and me and Elder Brower are very optomistic about her getting baptized. So i am hoping those go through as well as this other lady who has been taught everything but just doesnt want to be baptized. We are helping her and we have set the date for May 24th. I am really hoping it happens because if that happens it will be a very good thing for her in her life. She doesnt feel like she can give certain things up but we told her that she can and it will be so much easier once she is baptized. That is about what we have done this week. I almost got attacked by a couple of pit bulls this week. That was kinda scary. The work in Swindon is tough. People are not very receptive to the Gospel but we continue to have a positive attitude and we know that only the Lord can help us and direct us. He knows his children and he knows who is prepared for the gospel. We continue to have faith and we know that we can have success in Swindon. I love this work. This work truly is amazing. There really is no greater work than missionary work. I still miss you guys alot and i want you guys to know that i am totally focused on the work. I know what i have to do and i am working as hard as i can. This church is so true and i love it so much. True happiness only comes through the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so happy right now and i have come to a greater knowledge of how important this gospel is to people. Thank you for all of your support.
As for the sports world. Why in the world do the Jazz have such a hard time against the Lakers!!!! It is so frustrating. Tell harpring to break Kobes fingers more so that he wont be able to play. I cant believe we didnt shoot that well. O well we will win both games in Salt Lake and we will win the series. I have confidence in the Jazz. Also thanks for the Eastern Conference update. Im still putting my money on the Celtics. (Even though i want Lebron.) I cant believe Avery Johnson got fired and i cant believe that the Suns are going to fire their coach. He is an awesome coach. That is crazy. But also update me on the Yankees. I want to know how they are doing as well. All these updates dont distract me so dont worry. So please keep me updated.
I shop at a store named Tesco. It is just a little grocery store and there isnt very many good things there. I have been eating so many peanut butter sandwiches it is crazy. I still dont think i have gained any weight though. haha. We also have a washer in our flat so we can do our wash whenever we want. We dont have a dryer so we have to hang dry everything. Its kind of annoying but o well. Thanks again for all the letters and emails. I love them. They really do help me so much. Continue to send them and i will write you back.

Letter - April 29, 2008
Hello Family!!! Thank you for all the emails. It was great to hear from you.
Thank you mom for keeping me updated on the Jazz. If they dont beat the Lakers i will be so upset. I hate the Lakers!!! Derek Fisher is a trader and Kobe is a punk. Also keep me updated on the Yankees. I have a feeling that while i am gone they will win the world series and the Jazz will win the finals. So please keep me updated on all the sports. It makes me happy and tell Debbie that yes i do miss sports center. I feel like i am lost without it.
I am so excited about Braden. That is awesome. I wish he was coming to England though. But i guess the Lord has to spread the wealth. England cant get all the good ones.
So this week has been hard but it has been good. Elder Brower is a great example to me and i love him. He played football and he seems like he is pretty good at it. We get along great. He is an awesome trainer and i have already learned so much from him. Swindon is not too big. It has about 125,000 people in it. It is cold and it rained like crazy yesterday. I got soaked. We went to go do service for this lady and i got mud all over my back from the bike and so i was pretty upset about that. The little green area you are looking at that is by our flat is a little tiny park. (My family was able to look up where he is on Google Earth and see the street he lives on, so that's what he's talking about.) It has a basketball hoop and the pavement and the walls around it are covered in grafity. I just laugh cause everytime i look there are people who try to act cool just standing there.
The food is alright. Not the greatest. I NEED MORE PEANUT BUTTER M&M'S. They dont have them here. I can get peanut ones but not peanut butter so i want some more.
So since thursday i bought a bike. We have been riding that thing all over town. My legs are hurting so bad. When we are done at night i can barely walk. It is horrible. I hope i get used to it though. haha. But we have been going tracting everyday for about 5 hours and its really hard. Noone wants to hear us. We have had a few people tell us to come back but then when we go back they arent home. It is really hard. There is this lady though that is crazy. The missionaries have committed her to baptism 3 times and on Friday we committed her again. Actually the Ward Mission Leader did. It was so frustrating. He just like took over the lesson and committed her for the summer. We were like are you crazy that is 3 months away. Finally yesterday we talked her into the 24th of May. So hopefully it goes through. Church on Sunday was weird. There are about 120 members in the ward and Sacrament meeting was major chaos. I couldnt believe it. It made me sad. But other than that not a whole lot has gone on this week. We have just been knocking doors all day long and riding bikes. Happy birthday on Saturday though mom. I love you so much. All of you guys i love and i will talk to you next week.

Letter - April 24, 2008
Hey Everyone!!! So i am out of the MTC now. We left yesterday. We had to get up at 5 in the morning and get on a bus and travel for about 2 hours to the mission office. It was a long ride. We got there and we all had an interview with President Moffat. It was really good and he seems like a really great guy. After all the interviews were done we went over to the mission home and had pizza. It was dominos and it was really good. Then after that we went back and found out who our companions were going to be. Mine is Elder Brower. He is from North Salt Lake and he lives in the Winegars stake. He said his dad is the Stake President now so it was cool to know that we knew someone. He has been out about 6 months. We were assinged to a city called Swindon. It is down in the southernmost part of the mission. Hopefully it is on the map of the mission. But before this transfer there were only 2 missionaries in the area and now there are 4. So its pretty much like we are opening a new area. Our apartment is pretty small but its not bad.
I love all you guys so much and i hope everything is going well. I want to hear from everyone. I miss all you guys so much. I cant wait to talk to you on mothers day. I love you!
